A kangaroo that led authorities on a lengthy chase in Lacoochee was caught Sunday morning.
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission worked together to capture the kangaroo that has been on the run since Saturday night, according to the sheriff's office.
The male kangaroo, which weighs 200 pounds and is 5 feet tall, was seen near 38316 Mickler Road in Lacoochee, north of Dade City. The owner of the animal has not been found, the sheriff's office said.
The sheriff's office released a photo of the animal standing with two tranquilizer darts in its body.
