CLARIFICATION: Michelle Wilder e-mailed U.S. District Judge Steven D. Merryday that she had to cancel one doctor's appointment for her son Brandon, and there was one medication he went without last month because she couldn't afford either. Brandon's father, Danny J. Collins, pleaded guilty to not paying $$29,478.50 in child support and was sentenced to 12 months in prison Sept. 2. His former employer offered to pay the debt if Collins could return to work within 30 days.
