Tampa-based technology staffing firm Kforce Inc. is selling its “Kforce Healthcare Inc.” staffing division to an affiliate of Chicago-based private equity fund Beecken Petty O’Keefe & Company for $119 million in cash.

The deal is expected to close today, and the division will be renamed himagine solutions inc.

“Health Information Management has been a successful part of our business for some time, and we are proud of all they have accomplished on their way to becoming one of the leaders in the space,” said David L. Dunkel, Kforce chairman and CEO. Kforce will now narrow its focus to staffing in technology, finance and accounting.

Kforce employs about 2,700 people directly, and 12,100 work as consultants on assignment with clients. Last quarter, the healthcare division generated 7 to 8 percent of total revenue at Kforce.
