Passenger numbers at St. Pete-Clearwater airport soar 20%

St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport has reported seven consecutive months with double-digit increases in passengers over 2012, with a 20 percent increase in November to 84,125.

Allegiant Airlines in November started service to six new destinations to reach a total of 31 non-stop destinations from the Pinellas airport.

Sunwing Airlines resumed seasonal service serving Toronto and will add Halifax to its Pinellas schedules in February.

Through November, St. Pete-Clearwater International has carried 919,951 in 2013, on track to exceed the 1 million passenger milestone in 2013 last achieved in 2004.
