Hillsborough voters get free bus ride to polls

Published:

Hillsborough County voters can get a free bus ride to the polls on primary day, Aug. 26 and general election day, Nov. 4, just by showing a voter registration card to the bus operator.

Bus riders who present their valid voter registration card will get the free ride, but are responsible for determining, in advance, which bus route will get them to or closest to their polling place, according to the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority.

To plan a primary day trip, use the Google Trip Planner feature on www.goHART.org.

The free ride offer is not valid for use on the HARTPlus service or the TECO Line Streetcar System.

To learn more about HART, including the OneBusAway phone app that tells riders when the next bus is due, for trip planning, schedules, maps and fares, visit www.goHART.org.
