Copa airlines fills 89 percent of seats

Copa Airlines, which began flights between Tampa International Airport and Panama City, Panama, in mid-December, has filled 89 percent of its seats in its first month of service, airport officials said.
The airline primarily flies 124-seat Boeing 737-700s on the route.
Tampa International handled 16.9 million passengers in 2013, a gain of 0.6 percent compared with 2012.
Domestic travel accounted for 16.4 million passengers, a gain of 0.4 percent over 2012, while international travel accounted for nearly 532,000 passengers, a gain of 5.3 percent.
