The Carnival Pride cruise ship will call Tampa its new home port beginning in December 2014, replacing Carnival Legend. It will join Carnival Paradise as one of two Carnival ships to call Tampa home.
Carnival Pride began service in 2002 as the flagship of the Carnival fleet. The 88,500-ton vessel accommodates 2,124 passengers and 930 crew members. It has a six-story atrium, multiple pools, and a 72-foot water slide.
The Pride previously sailed out of Baltimore. Carnival says it regularly evaluates its itineraries and makes adjustments based on guest preference and overall financial performance.
