— Howl-O-Scream gets a new twist this year with the introduction of Zombie Containment Unit 15, where guests are on the menu for the undead.

Last year, Busch Gardens introduced The Experiment, which included a zombie invasion. In the new scenario, it’s three years later and there has been a containment failure in Zombie Containment Unit 15. The undead have escaped in search of flesh “and Howl-O-Scream guests are the next target,” according to a press release from the theme park. “Armed with only a Z.E.D. (Zombie Eradicaton Device), it’s up to them to hold off an undead mob in this interactive zombie laser-hunting experience.”

The new feature is included in the $89 Howl-O-Scream admission price, with no reservations required. Reduced advance-purchase rates and special offers are available for Busch Gardens pass holders at howloscream.com.

Guests can save $39 on general admission tickets in advance at participating Publix supermarkets and AAA locations.

Freaky Preview for Howl-O-Scream takes place Friday and Saturday, Sept. 26 and 27. The actual event runs Thursday through Saturday nights, Oct. 2-Nov. 1. It will also be open on Sunday, Oct. 19. Hours are from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. for all event nights.

Howl-O-Scream, which is intended for mature audiences, also includes an all-new haunted house and hundreds of undead creatures lurking throughout the park.
