A Tampa woman faces arson charges after deputies say she set a May fire at a North Tampa condominium complex, destroying 12 units and injuring two deputies and two firefighters.

After an investigation, deputies on June 14 obtained an arrest warrant for Imani K. Blair, 19, of 7835 Niagara Ave. She was taken into custody June 20, and remains jailed on $50,000 bond.

Two deputies and two Hillsborough County firefighters were were hospitalized with smoke-related injuries in a three-alarm fire on May 28 at 12401 Orange Blossom Oak Place.

Firefighters called to the first just before midnight found heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof of the second story.

Fighting the fire from the outside due to structural damage, firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings.

No residents were injured, and a dog was rescued from a first-floor condo, officials say.
