Williams fans gather at ‘Mork’ house in Boulder

Published:

BOULDER, Colo. — Fans are gathering outside a 130-year-old house in Boulder made famous by comedian and actor Robin Williams to pay their respects after his death from an apparent suicide.

The house on Pine Street was depicted as the home of Mork, a space alien, in the 1970s TV show “Mork & Mindy.”

Among those who went to the house Monday was Colorado Democratic congressman Jared Polis, who watched the show as a child growing up in Boulder. Polis says Williams helped put Boulder on the map.

Boulder native Carrie Walker also went to the house. She says it’s a landmark she often takes visitors to see.

Williams was pronounced dead at his California home Monday. Authorities say the preliminary investigation shows the cause of death to be suicide due to asphyxia.
