Crews closed a portion of Bayshore Boulevard on Sunday after a water main break that could take several days to repair.
The break is located beneath the southbound, inside lane just north of Bay to Bay Boulevard, according to the Tampa Water Department.
A portion of that lane, between Bay to Bay Boulevard and Rubideaux Street, will be closed for the next two to three days, while the outside lane remains in use, authorities said.
Barricades and signs are located in the area of the repairs, but drivers are urged to seek a different route if possible.
The road will reopen, weather permitting, by Tuesday, the water department said.
