When Clearwater’s Delilah Gagliardi tried to let her dog in from the backyard Saturday, she couldn’t find her.
For two days there was no sight of the dog, Allie.
But on Monday, Gagliardi heard whining from under her floorboards. She frantically called the Humane Society of Pinellas. Allie had managed to get trapped under the house.
Humane Society caretakers Maddy Ferguson and Shelby Ross dismantled the front porch and dug toward Allie. The dog also dug toward them.
Once freed, Allie jumped into the arms of her owners and licked the faces of those around her.
