Tampa police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect in a burglary early Saturday morning.

Police responding to an alarm at 6:30 a.m. found Westshore Food Mart, 3446 S. West Shore Blvd., had been burglarized.

Stolen merchandise included several cartons of cigarettes and a large quantity of scratch-off lottery tickets that were cashed at several other stores a few hours after the call, police say.

The suspect is seen on surveillance video at the store and some of the locations where the tickets were redeemed.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic male with a medium complexion, about 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 8, with black hair, a goatee, and multiple religious tattoos on both arms.

He was seen driving a 2006-09 four-door green Hyundai Sonata with factory wheels and no tint.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Tampa police at (813) 231-6130.
