Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is assisting residents by installling smoke alarms at the Ruskin mobile home park where a 4-year-old was killed in fire on Friday.
Firefighters were on hand today at the Wolf’s Mobile Home Park. checking homes and installing smoke alarms at no cost.
Firefighters say they have installed more than 540 smoke alarms in homes and mobile parks since last year, and continue to identify homes and mobile home parks that need smoke alarms.
Alejandra Carmona, 4, died Friday. Her father, 30-year-old Monico Carmona Jr., and her siblings remain hospitalized as the result of injuries.
Meanwhile, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue will announce the findings of the investigation into the fatal fire this afternoon.
