A suspect is being sought in the theft of a purse from a woman who was loading groceries into her vehicle last month outside a Walmart in Tampa.

The suspect is described as a white person, about 160 pounds, 5-foot-8, with a thin build and long black hair, according to the sheriff's office. They fled in a gray or silver, two-door Acura.

At about 6:06 p.m. June 23, an Acura pulled up to a woman loading her vehicle in the parking lot of the Walmart at 6192 Gunn Hwy. The suspect jumped out of the Acura's passenger seat, grabbed the victim's purse off of her shoulder, got back in the car and sped off, according to the sheriff's office.
