A Tampa man faces animal cruelty charges after police say he strangled the family dog and stored body parts in a freezer for future meals.
A family member called police Thursday at 11 p.m. to report that Elliot Huggins, 25, strangled the 5-6 month family dog earlier that morning and cut it in quarters, storing the body parts in a freezer.
After police arrived Thursday night, they found the dog's ribs cooked in a pot on the stove and its head in the garbage.
