A Largo man was killed Thursday night when he was struck by a car while crossing a Seminole road.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Royce W. Mosley, 74, was attempting to cross Seminole Boulevard, outside the painted crosswalk, south of Walsingham Road when he was struck by a 2002 Nissan pick-up truck driven by 50-year-old Simon Preciado, of St. Pete Beach.

Mosley was transported to Largo Medical Center, where he died from his injuries, the FHP said.

Investigators are determining whether Mosley was impaired at the time of the crash, the FHP said.
