A small, localized thunderstorm cell this afternoon spawned a funnel cloud that could be seen over Old Tampa Bay in South Tampa on Tuesday afternoon.
At 2:22 p.m., National Weather Service reported meteorologists issued an advisory after receiving several reports of funnel clouds near the Gandy Bridge.
Radar showed a storm cell moving east at 10 mph, and any potential waterspouts could briefly come ashore near the western portions of South Tampa near the Gandy Bridge.
Rain chances remain at 20 percent this afternoon.
Temperatures will remain in the mid- to upper-80s the remainder of the week under mostly sunny skies, but conditions will be comfortable thanks to drier, less humid air.
