Tampa Bay area residents can ditch the Christmas sweaters today as a warm front has brought higher temperatures and increased rain chances.
The front is lifting from the south, creating cloudy skies, a milder morning and highs in the mid-70s, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
Lows tonight will be in the upper-50s.
Rain chances increase to 40 percent Friday and Saturday as the front stalls over the region. A cold front will arrive Sunday, clearing skies and bringing cooler air entering the new year.
