A Tampa man is being held without bond after deputies say he operated a marijuana grow house in a Seminole Heights home.
Acting on a tip, deputies responding to 7215 N. Duncan Ave. seized 22 marijuana plants totaling more than 46 pounds, with a street value of about $50,000.
Deputies say two bedrooms in the home — where 40-year-old Pedro Martin Millares lived alone — were converted solely for the purpose of growing marijuana.
TECO also located an illegal tap providing un-metered electricity to the residence, deputies say.
Millares is in Orient Road jail on drug and grand theft charges.
