Scott takes in nearly $15 million last quarter toward re-election

Published:

Republicans rejoiced Friday over the multi-million dollar haul taken in by Gov. Rick Scott through his various fundraising arms.

The state’s Republican Party issued a press release announcing a total take of more than “$14.7 million in the second quarter of 2014, bringing the total raised this calendar year to over $31 million.”

Here’s the breakdown:

$10.6 million raised by Republican Party of Florida.

$3.0 million raised by Rick Scott for Florida.

$1.1 million raised by Let’s Get To Work.

“Our strong fundraising results in April, May and June show that support for Governor Scott and his vision for Florida is growing,” said Republican Party of Florida Chair Leslie Dougher in the statement.

“We look forward to showing Floridians the difference between Charlie Crist’s record of higher taxes, skyrocketing debt and 800,000 jobs lost and Rick Scott’s record of lower taxes, reduced debt and nearly 600,000 private-sector jobs created.”
