Bill Young II to seek state House seat

Bill Young II, son of the late U.S. Rep. C.W. Bill Young, has announced he’ll run for the state House seat from District 68 in Pinellas County, currently held by Dwight Dudley, D- St. Petersburg.

Dudley has filed to run for re-election. Another Republican, Joshua Simeon Black, also has filed to run for the seat.

The district includes much of St. Petersburg, Largo, and Pinellas Park and parts of Clearwater and unincorporated Pinellas County.

Young works in business development at the National Forensic Science Technology Center, a Largo-based non-profit that assists works with law enforcement on research, technology, and training.
