The Temple Terrace Police Department on Wednesday identified two men the agency says were involved in a fatal shooting last month.

Edward Lavon Larry was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Temple Terrace and charged with second-degree murder accessory after the fact in the death of Jobree Platt, police said. Larry, 29, of Riverview, is being held at the Hillsborough County jail with bail set at $15,000, according to jail records.

Police are still searching for 29-year-old Gary Brown III. Police have issued an arrest warrant. He's wanted for first-degree felony murder and two counts of attempted murder, police said.

Platt, 31, of Lutz, was visiting a relative in Temple Terrace. They went out on Sept. 4 and returned to the Village Oaks apartments, at 8575 Montravail Circle, at around 4:50 a.m., police said.

As they neared the apartment, a man appeared in the outdoor breezeway, which was near the elevator, police said.

Platt and the man got into an argument and the man pulled out a handgun and shot and killed Platt, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Temple Terrace Police Department at (813) 989-7110.
