Tampa Theatre holiday classics include ‘Elf,’ ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’

A different holiday favorite will return to the big screen every week in December at the Tampa Theatre.

The theater’s annual holiday classics film series kicks off Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. with “Elf,” the 2003 comedy featuring Will Ferrell as “Buddy,” a full-sized, maple syrup-and-spaghetti-eating human raised by Papa Elf (Bob Newhart) as one of Santa’s helpers.

Tickets are $10 at the box office or through tampatheatre.org.

Also on the schedule:

“Miracle on 34th Street,” 3 p.m., Dec. 8.

“White Christmas,” 3 p.m., Dec. 15.

“It’s A Wonderful Life,” 7:30 p.m., Dec. 20; 3 and 7:30 p.m., Dec. 21; 3 and 7:30 p.m., Dec. 22.
