File Preparation

Accepted Ad Formats: .html, .gif, .jpg and .swf.

Accepted Source File Formats: We prefer .psd, .eps, .fla and .pdf. We will also accept .gif and .jpg.

Mandatory Specifications:
  • Banners must have at least a one-pixel border.
  • Animated banners (gif or swf) can not loop indefinitely; maximum of six loops or 15 seconds' run time.
  • Flash banners must include click-tag within .swf file. (See instructions below)
  • HTML file and backup .gif must be sent with .swf.
  • Text links: 60 characters or less
  • Advertisements should not contain graphics that simulate interactivity (i.e. drop down menus, search boxes etc.) or mislead the user into thinking that they are content.
Flash Animation Production Guidelines:

TBO.com will need 3 days to approve, test and schedule all Flash ads produced out-of-house.

  • All Flash movies must be submitted with specified clickthrough URL or 'clicktag' component.
  • No Flash ads are to load variables from an external file, nor should they load any other movies from an external server.
  • When submitting a Flash creative for to Ad Traffic, supply these mandatory components:
    • The Flash-published SWF file (file size limits apply).
    • The source .fla file. It will be used to verify click-tag setup. Nothing will be published from this file.
    • A backup GIF or JPEG (static ad size limits apply) to deliver to those users unable to see Flash movies.
