Local artists to display works at Lakeland art festival

PLANT CITY The creations of four Plant City area artists will be included in an Oct. 12 art festival in Lakeland.

Connie Buyens, Holly Johnson, Erica Wiggins and Wayne Wiggins will be among the artists to display art at the festival at KRaP Art Studios, 2619 S. Lincoln Ave. The studio owner, Kimberly Wyant, took pottery courses taught by Johnson, who owns the MudHut Pottery north of Plant City.

Artwork that will be on sale or display will include paintings, jewelry, pottery, stained class and functional art. The festival starts at 4 p.m. and includes hors d’oeuvres, sweet treats and drawings for a gift basket and door prizes.

There is no admission charge.
