Another hot and sunny day for the Tampa area today, with what seems like an ever-present chance of afternoon rain and thunderstorms. But the rest of the week might let us dry out a little.
There is a 60 percent chance of showers, most likely after 2 p.m. And it’s going to be hot again with a high of 89.
The National Weather Service expects rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, but those amounts could be higher in thunderstorms.
The 60 percent chance of showers will extend into this evening, mostly before 11 p.m. The low will be around 74.
The drill is the same for Monday with a 40 percent chance of storms by midafternoon and that chance of rain remains for the evening, most likely until 8 p.m.. The low will be around 74.
The chance of rain remains through the rest of the week with a 30 percent to 40 percent chance for Tuesday through Saturday.
