Former Buccaneers kicker Matt Bryant booted a 40-yard field goal to lift the Florida Tuskers to a 27-24 victory against the Las Vegas Locomotives in a United Football League game at Tropicana Field on Friday night.
Trailing 14-7 at halftime, the Tuskers (4-0) had rallied to take a 24-17 lead when Tatum Bell plunged over for a 1-yard touchdown run.
The Locomotives (1-2) answered quickly, as a long run by Dede Dorsey set up a 2-yard touchdown pass from J.P. Losman to John Madsen to tie the game. Dorsey led all rushers with 139 yards on 12 carries, while Losman finished the game 19-of-31 for 252 yards and two touchdowns.
Quarterback Brooks Bollinger led the Tuskers, throwing for 323 yards on 22 of 35 passing with two touchdowns, both to Marcus Maxwell. Bell led the Tuskers on the ground, carrying for 65 yards on 20 carries, while former Buc Michael Pittman had 11 yards on five carries.
The Tuskers need one win in their final two games to earn a berth in the inaugural UFL championship game.
