I agree 100 percent with the letter writer “Shameful Bucs’ issues” (Views, Oct. 5) when he wrote that he is embarrassed to support the team. Fortunately for the writer, he lives in California. I, on the other hand, am a snowbird from New York who purchased one season ticket for the 2013 season.
The way Bucs coach Greg “color me Rutgers red” Schiano and general manager Mark Dominik handled (or mishandled) the Josh Freeman situation was not only embarrassing, but totally disgusting.
Of course a once-starting quarterback capable of passing for 4,000 yards and 27 touchdowns in a season is going to be reluctant to show up for a team photo and make team meetings when he his forced to look in from the outside, is stripped of being one of the team’s captains and constantly portrayed as the bad guy.
I sympathize with the remaining Bucs players and consider both Schiano and Dominik inept and the Glazer family not much better.
I have learned my lesson the hard way. I will not be a Bucs season ticket prisoner — I mean holder — next season and for all future seasons.
