POTUS Names His Choice For New AFSOC Commander

Published:

Interesting moves on the domino board of Special Ops commanders.

Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel announced today that President Barack Obama has nominated Air Force Lt. Gen. Bradley A. Heithold for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and head up Air Force Special Operations Command at Hurlburt Field, Fla.

Heithold is currently serving as the vice commander, U.S. Special Operations Command, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Heithold would replace current AFSOC honcho Lt. Gen. Eric Fiel.

Where’s Fiel going?

Stay tuned.

I have some calls out.
