The holiday season can sometimes be particularly stressful for military families. The Trees for Troops program helps provide relief by making sure families don’t have to worry about at least one thing: where they will get their Christmas tree.
On Thursday, the program distributed trees to families of active-duty military stationed at MacDill Air Force Base, then to other base employees and mission partners.
The Trees for Troops program, sponsored by the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation and FedEx Corp., is in its ninth year.
