This Just In

For the dirtiest jobs around the house, check out these big new helpers.

Here Mousey, Mousey

There aren't many palatable options when it comes to a mouse in the house - unless his name is Harold and he lives in a cage on your kid's dresser.

The new Catch A Mouse trap removes the ick factor of mouse trapping. It's a plastic cheese wedge that fits on top of your (recycled) 12-ounce water bottle. Put peanuts or peanut butter in the bottle and leave it where you've seen mice. Mouse climbs in and can't get back out - but isn't injured or killed.

To release the mouse where he's more welcome, rotate the trap upside down. If you're too squeamish for that, take off your cheese wedge and leave the mouse-filled bottle.

No Ride To The Dump?

If you don't have a pickup, or a friend with a pickup, pick up The Bagster to unload your unwieldy trash.

Stuff it with 3,300 pounds of construction debris, garage junk or yard waste, then call for a haul.

Buy the 4-by-8-foot bag for $29.95 at home improvement stores including The Home Depot and Ace Hardware. When you've filled it up, call (877) 789-BAGS or go to www.thebagster.com to schedule removal. That part costs $99.

Let It Roll, Baby, Roll

If your body turns traitor when it's time to tackle jobs that require repeated bending, kneeling and standing, it may be time for the Step2 Rugged Roll Work Seat.

This low-rider with 7-inch "mag" wheels is a foot tall and made to support more than 300 pounds. Load up your garden tools or car parts on the under-seat shelf, stick a cold vitamin water in the holder, and get rolling on chores.

The work seat comes fully assembled and costs $39.95 at www.genuinehotrod.com.

I'm A Little Tied Up Just Now

It may look like he's in pain, but trust me, One Man Tied lives only to organize your tabletop wire disaster.

He's cute, priced right, and a guy I'd happily welcome into my house.

One Man Tied is 4 inches tall and about 2 wide, with a suction cup on his bottom to keep him from wriggling loose of all the wires you wrap around him. He comes in orange or white and costs $10 at cableorganizer.com/one-man-tied.
