Get antiques appraised at library

Published:

If you’ve been wondering about Grandma’s antique lamp or Uncle Harry’s collection of books, here’s your chance to get some idea of what they’re worth. The Friends of the St. Petersburg Library will hold an Antiques Appraisal Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Main Library, 3745 Ninth Ave. N., St. Petersburg.

Six antiques appraisers and dealers will estimate the value of small antiques and collectibles, including books. Evaluations of large pieces of furniture and antique firearms will not be available.

Cost is $5 for one item or $12 for three items; additional items will cost $4 each to have appraised. For information, call (727) 893-7724.

The appraisers contributing their time are:

John and Andrea LeGrant, Andrea and Friends Antiques Mall — general antiques, Americana

Tammy Daulphin (at Andrea and Friends) — general antiques, glass, china, paintings

Michael Lough, Michael’s Antiques — general antiques, china, vintage clothes and textiles

Adele Gilmore, Pickwick Antiques — general antiques, paper ephemera, toys and dolls, advertising items

Michael Slicker, Lighthouse Books — rare and collectible books
