The Brandon Christian Women's Connection and Stonecroft Ministries will sponsor a Hawaiian Luau Brunch from 9:30-11:30 a.m. May 12 in the church's Special Events Center. DANCING AND FELLOWSHIP: Brandon Boys and Girls Club, 213 N. Knights Ave., Brandon. The Family Life Committee of First United Methodist Church in Brandon sponsors ballroom dance lessons taught by ballroom dance professional Donna Garzone from 7:30-9 p.m. Thursdays. Couples and singles of all ages are welcome. The classes give participants an opportunity to dance socially in an alcohol-free environment. Cost is $20 a month per person. The church's Fellowship of Encouragement group will host a class titled Celebrate Recovery from 6-9:30 p.m. Mondays in the church annex, Room E-1. Participants will have an opportunity to share personal testimonies. There also will be a children's program for youngsters in fourth to sixth grade.
