Visit the Polk Museum of Art for free during “Lois Cowles Harrison Week.”

The museum is waiving admission for everyone during the week of June 24 - 28. Operating hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday that week.

The event is being held to honor Harrison’s legacy and her commitment to making the arts accessible for all.

Permanent collections include modern and contemporary art, Asian art, European and American decorative arts and pre-Columbian art.

Current exhibitions include ‘Ekphrasis’ - Greek method of creating a new artwork as directly related to or inspired by an already existing work of art and ‘All Decked Out!’ - the art of skateboarding.

The Polk Museum of Art is located at 800 East Palmetto St.,

Lakeland.
