MOSI expands ‘kids free’ to include ages 5 and under

Tampa’s Museum of Science and Industry announced on Thursday that going forward, children admitted free to the museum would be expanded from ages 2 and under to ages 5 and under for general admission.

General admission includes the exhibits galleries, one planetarium show, one standard IMAX Dome theatre film and the ‘Kids In Charge!’ 25,000 square foot interactive play area.

The popular ‘Kids in Charge’ exhibit includes learning areas where children of all ages can experiment with gravity, and momentum; test their skills of observation and apply creativity and teamwork to design and build.

MOSI general admission is $18.95 for kids ages 6 - 12, $22.95 for adults ages 13 - 59 and $20.95 for seniors ages 60 and older.

Special engagement IMAX film tickets can be purchased as add-ons for $7 - $9.95 as well as admission to enjoy the ropes course and zipline experiences for $5 - $20.

Parking at the museum is $5.

MOSI is located at 4801 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa and is open Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
