Military members and first responders are being treated to a month of family fun at Lowry Park Zoo in August.

Weekdays in August, members of the U.S. military (active duty, retirees and veterans) plus Florida first responders (law enforcement, firefighters, 911 dispatchers and more) are offered free admission for themselves plus one guest.

Up to four additional one-day admissions may be purchased at half price for use the same day.

To take advantage of the offer, the eligible participant will need to register online, print a voucher and present it with valid identification at the ticket counter on any day, Monday through Friday, during August.

For more information, plus a complete list of eligible first responders, visit the Lowry Park Zoo website.

Military dependents may take advantage of the offer even if their service member is deployed. An adult with a valid military I.D. must accompany minors.

Regular single day admission is $24.95 for adults, $22.95 for seniors and $19.95 for kids ages 3 - 11. Children age 2 and younger are always admitted free.

Parking is free at Lowry Park Zoo.

Lowry Park Zoo is located at 1101 W Sligh Ave, Tampa.
