Military admitted free at Tampa Museum of Art on Sunday

The Tampa Museum of Art is hosting Military Appreciation Day this Sunday, July 20 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

All active-duty military, veterans and their families will be admitted free to the museum with valid military-issued identification.

In addition to free access to the galleries, the visitors will be invited to partake of ‘Design Challenge’ activities, ‘Art Spot’ crafts, guided tours, live music, Sono Cafe samples and more.

Regular daily admission is $10 for adults, $7.50 for senior citizens and Florida teachers and $5 for students. Children age 6 and under are always admitted free.

The museum is home to modern and contemporary art as well as Greek and Roman antiquities.

Some of the current special exhibits on display right now at the museum include ‘My Generation: Young Chinese Artists’ and ‘Poseidon and the Sea: Myth, Cult and Daily Life.’

The Tampa Museum of Art is located at 120 W. Gasparilla Plaza,

Tampa.
