Get fit, have fun and add a little twinkle to your toes when you learn to tango in Tampa.

The Tampa Bay Tango Club and the Tampa Downtown Partnership are partnering to offer a weekly free tango class at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, 600 N. Ashley Drive, Tampa.

The public is invited to learn this passionate style of dance from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursdays.

The free dance class will run weekly until March 12, 2015.

All levels of skill are invited and no special shoes or partner are required, but non-rubber soled shoes are the best (no flip flops).

The class meets at the wood platform in the northeast corner of the park, adjacent to the Glazer Children’s Museum.

For more information, call (813)221-3686 or visit the Tampa Downtown Partnership website.
