Get fit, have fun at free Healthy Kids Day

Kids and families looking to get fit and have fun can do both at the free community event “YMCA Healthy Kids Day.”

Tampa Bay area families can enjoy fun and educational activities, such as bounce houses, fitness demonstrations, arts and crafts, water safety tips, healthy snacks, giveaways and more from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 26.

The event takes place at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park on 600 N. Ashley Drive and will include a “Mascot Dance Challenge” where local mascots compete against each other showing off their moves. Previous participants include: Captain Fear, Thunderbug, Raymond, Plato the Publix dinosaur, Chuck E. Cheese, Chick-fil-A Cow, Sparky the Fire Dog and others.
