The Morean Arts Center in downtown St. Petersburg regularly hosts free art activities for children ages 5 - 10.

Called “Saturdays @ the Morean,” the instructor-led craft sessions are available on a drop-in basis from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Saturday.

Upcoming scheduled projects include: making books from cereal boxes (March 8), giant paper flowers (March 15), glass-like works of art from recycled materials using heat (March 22), birds in painting, collages and clay (April 5) and Henri Matisse inspired stained glass (April 12).

‘Saturdays @ The Morean’ is canceled March 29 for spring break.

The Morean Arts Center is located at 719 Central Ave., St. Petersburg.

For more information and more scheduled projects, visit the Morean website.
