Beachside Rays watch parties are cheap family fun

Ever wanted to try out that giant water slide on the beach in St. Pete?

On a couple of upcoming Sundays, you can give it a go at a reduced price.

TradeWinds Island Resort, is inviting baseball fans to head over for family-friendly Rays game watching parties on the beach.

On Sunday, Aug. 10 beginning at 2:20 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 24 beginning at 1:07 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 28 beginning at 1:05 p.m. the public is invited to bring their beach chairs to watch the games broadcast on a huge screen directly on the beach.

The Rays Street Team will handing out free giveaways and food and beverages will be available for purchase. Coolers are not allowed.

Visitors can try the “bucking shark” ride for $4 and High Tide Slide passes will also be available for $15, discounted from $37.

Admission is free, but parking is $10 (discounted from $20) at the Guy Harvey Outpost, 6000 Gulf Blvd., St. Pete Beach beginning at noon.
