While the rest of us were waiting for the real estate market to improve, K. Hovnanian Homes has been using the time to expand into new communities throughout the Tampa Bay area and to design innovative energy-efficient homes that meet strict Energy Star qualifications.

"The fruits of our labors are paying off for local homebuyers," said George Schulmeyer, president of the Tampa division of K. Hovnanian Homes. "We've listened to buyers about where they want to live and what they want in their home designs and we've strived to meet the national Energy Star rating for all of our homes. Now that the market is turning around, we're ready with exactly the communities and homes that families want."

In fact, Schulmeyer is so eager to introduce K. Hovnanian's newest communities during the All-Energy Star New Home Sales Event that K. Hovnanian Homes is giving away a free five-star vacation getaway. Although no purchase is necessary to win, the concept of making the home-buying process as easy and stress-free as possible goes hand-in-hand with service and experience of The Ritz-Carlton. Between now and July 31, all who visit a participating K. Hovnanian sales center can enter to win a $1,000 vacation package to The Ritz-Carlton. Details are available online at www.khov.com/tampa or by calling 1-877-669-5468.

Central to K. Hovnanian Homes' newest communities and designs are the concepts of superior home quality and homeowner comfort, while lowering energy demand and reducing the carbon footprint, but still keeping the price affordable, Schulmeyer said.

"Now, every home we sell is Energy Star certified," Schulmeyer said. "One of the latest enhancements to our homes is the introduction of our eKo-Krete High Performance Concrete, made with BASF Greensense chemistry."

"We, as a new home builder, are always looking for ways to improve our homes for our homeowners, all the while considering the environment," said Lisette Minnick, director of marketing and sales. "We are happy to introduce our newest product, eKo-Krete High Performance Concrete, made with BASF chemistry, which we are using with our foundations to improve the overall performance of the foundation, help the environment and provide a more durable product to our consumers."
