St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg has opened a new Memory Disorders Center to help families and caregivers navigate the complexities that a memory disorder diagnosis can bring.

The center will coordinate advanced diagnostic evaluations, evaluate patient needs and develop a treatment plan, navigate care and regularly follow patient progress, and provide support for family caregivers through education and training.

A feature of the center is a licensed clinical social worker who will meet with patients and their families to develop an individual care plan that will take into account medical treatment, nutrition, physical care, social interaction and psychological needs.

Patients, families and caregivers also will have access to an education resource library, including online access.

St. Anthony’s Hospital is at 1200 Seventh Ave. N. in St. Petersburg. For more information about the hospital and the Memory Disorders Center, go to baycare.org or call (727) 825-1100.
