Minneapolis area once again is ‘fittest city’

The Minneapolis area, home of the Juicy Lucy inside-out cheeseburger, has once again triumphed over other metro areas, ranking first in the annual American College of Sports Medicineís fit cities list.

Itís the third consecutive year that the Twin Cities metro area has topped the list, which measures the health and community fitness status of the 50 largest U.S. cities. The group looks at several factors that contribute to health, including: smoking, obesity rates, access to health care, availability of parks, recreational facilities, walking trails, and farmersí markets.

Tampa barely missed being in the bottom 10, coming in at No. 40.
