Belle of the Ball offers homecoming help

Published:

Needy students from the Tampa Bay area will get a chance to make their homecoming dreams come true with a free dress and accessories from the nonprofit Belle of the Ball Project.

Belle of the Ball, founded in 2003, will donate more than 3,000 new and gently-worn dresses in a variety of sizes and styles to high school students who can’t afford to buy them.

The dresses will be available to high school students from Pinellas, Hillsborough and surrounding counties from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and Sept. 28, and Oct. 5, 19 and 26, at Seminole Mall, 11201 Park Blvd., Seminole.

No appointment is needed. A $1 to $5 donation is requested, but not required.

Donations of special occasion dresses also can be made at the distribution sites. For more information on the Belle of the Ball Project, call ( 727) 386-4502 or visit www.belleoftheballproject.com.
