ZEPHYRHILLS — Three teenagers were arrested Saturday and charged with arson after an unoccupied mobile home, vehicle and travel trailer were torched in the Hillcrest RV Park, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.
Arrested early Saturday morning were Spencer Callahan Burton, 18, of 4350 Holt Road, and two 17-year-old teens, records show. The 17-year-old teens are not being identified because of their age. The teenagers each face three charges of arson.
The mobile home was destroyed and a nearby mobile home was also damaged, records show. The vehicle was so damaged that its make and model could not be determined, records show.
According to the sheriff’s office, the trio were found with a stolen bicycle, and loitering in nearby Rainbow Village, while the Hillcrest fires were becoming fully involved, records said.
Burton was being held in the Land O’ Lakes Jail on Monday with bail at over $450,000. In March, Burton was found guilty of burglary and criminal mischief and sentenced to 90 days at the Land O’ Lakes Jail.
Bail information on the other teens was not available. Underage inmates are typically held at the Juvenile Detention Center.
