Retailers, restaurants offer birthday deals, freebies

Having a birthday is the gift that keeps on giving, or getting.

Sign up for these deals and your inbox will be flooded once a year with well wishes from your favorite retailers.

Even if your special day isn't imminent, you can still benefit right away. Many of the e-clubs offer rewards simply for joining. Also, parents of teens who no longer qualify for kids meal deals, note that some of these offers are good for registrants as young as 13.

Keep in mind, offers may change or be discontinued. Always check with the retailer when visiting the store or restaurant.

Skatepark of Tampa - skate free on your birthday with valid I.D.

Grimaldi's Coal Brick Oven Pizzeria - get a free, large one-topping pizza on your birthday when you sign up in advance for the eclub. You'll also get a gift just for joining. Tampa Bay area locations include WestShore Plaza, Citrus Park Mall and Countryside Mall. 

Carvel - join "Fudge Fanatics" online and get a free treat on your birthday.

Red Robin - offers rewards throughout the year based on frequency of visits, plus your choice of a gourmet burger for your birthday.

Panda Express - free meal for your birthday when you sign up for their emails. There are nine Tampa Bay area locations.

Dairy Queen - get a BOGO Blizzard coupon just for signing up and then surprises for your birthday and the anniversary of when you joined their online fan club.

Victoria's Secret Pink - get ongoing coupons for free panties and discounts on bras as well as other offers throughout the year. During your birthday month you'll get a coupon for $10 off any purchase.

Starbucks - a free treat or drink on your birthday plus coupons, discounts and other rewards.

Champps - free burger or dessert just for joining. Accrue points with purchases to redeem rewards.
 
Bella's Italian Cafe - The South Tampa restaurant will send you notices about special offers and promotions on registration and you're prompted for birthday and anniversary dates, so deals for those milestones are likely.
 
Redbox - Generous with their discounts and freebies on movie rentals, plus you can reserve online.
 
First Watch - Get a BOGO entrée coupon just for signing up, give your birth date and keep an eye out for something in your email or mailbox.
 
IHOP - Offers a free meal upon registration, on your birthday and on the first anniversary of your registration. That's a lot of pancakes.

Red Robin - free birthday burger plus other rewards. Tampa Bay area locations are not participating at this time, but others are.
 
Einstein Bros. Bagels - Get a coupon in your email for a free bagel and shmear with the purchase of any drink. Birthday special offer is promised, too.

Side Splitters - Get a BOGO coupon for a comedy show when you sign up and free birthday tix, too.

Zaxby's - free meal deal and nibbler, plus other regular mailings and rewards - available by email or text.

Moe's - get a free cup of queso just for joining plus a free birthday entree.

Qdoba - get a free chips and salsa or regular sized drink for signing up, birthday reward and free entrees with frequent purchases.

 

Johnny Rockets - free hamburger with purchase of an entree and a drink for signing up plus a birthday burger.

Pita Pit - get a free combo upgrade with e-club registration, promises of rewards throughout the year.

Dunkin Donuts - score a free medium beverage when you enroll, on your birthday and when you accrue 200 points.

Auntie Anne's - promises rewards and coupons for your mailing information. You can also opt to get offers via text.

Pinchasers - fans of bowling will enjoy five free games just for signing up plus rewards for frequent play. Birthday bowlers get $10 to spend

California Pizza Kitchen - You'll be rewarded with a coupon for a free small plate (appetizer) when you register, frequent diners earn "Pizza Dough" with purchases.

Sign up with Pretzelmaker and get a free soft pretzel just for joining. Birthday surprises are also offered. Pretzelmaker locations are in Brandon, Lake Wales and Lakeland.

 

 Coldstone Creamery - BOGO ice cream creation offer just for signing up and for your birthday, plus promotional offers throughout the year.

 Evos - "Evomaniacs" are the first ones to hear about news and get special offers in their email inboxes from this healthy fast-casual eatery.

 Panera - "MyPanera" cardholders get surprises when they least expect them, such as free pastries or discounts on salads.

CVS Beauty Club - 10 percent savings pass upon enrollment, $3 off purchase birthday gift plus $5 ExtraBucks Rewards for every $50 spent on qualifying beauty purchases.

Great American Cookie - join and you're promised a "birthday surprise" - we're guessing it will be a cookie.

Burger King - register your kids ages 13 and younger and get a free kids hamburger on their birthday.

Jersey Mike's - Be in the know with what is going on at your favorite Jersey Mike's with their email newsletters. You will also be rewarded with a free sub and drink coupon for your birthday.

Firehouse Subs - Show your ID on your birthday and get a free medium sub. Register online and they'll send you a reminder a few days before.

Lowry Park Zoo - Birthday guests will enjoy free daytime zoo admission with acceptable proof of birth date: driver's license, birth certificate, passport or military ID.

Offer is valid on the individual's actual birthday with the exception of leap years, Thanksgiving and Christmas (day before or after are acceptable for these two holidays). The offer is not valid with any other offers, discounts or for special events and has no cash value.

Sephora - Beauty Insiders get treated to a free gift for their special day. In the past it has been things like cupcake-scented body wash. There are also other perks such as beauty classes, seasonal promotions and product rewards based on purchase history.
