Senior health expo features free breakfast, health screenings

Seniors can have fun while learning about valuable services that cater to their needs at the annual Temple Terrace Senior Expo.

 

On Friday, March 7 vendors and local organizations will present information on their services and products at the Family Recreation Complex, 6610 Whiteway Dr., Temple Terrace from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

 

The event will also feature musical entertainment, door prizes, chair massages, bingo and freebies.

 

BayCare Health System will provide free blood pressure and glucose screenings and a free continental breakfast will be available beginning at 8 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

The expo is free and open to the public.

Elder Justice Center

Lifepath Hospice

AARP Foundation for Senior Employment

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

Rocky Creek Retirement Village

Nantucket Bay Senior Apartments

Museum of Science and Industry

and others

 

Seniors are invited to bring old, unwanted medicines between 9 a.m. and noon for safe disposal at a hazardous waste facility free of charge.
