Nothing says fall like high school marching bands.

This Saturday, Oct. 19 the public is invited to enjoy performances from more than a dozen Florida high schools as they compete at the Lion’s Pride marching band competition starting at 1 p.m. Winners will be announced at 7 p.m.

The band performances consist of a series of related musical pieces performed with marching and dancing choreography. Flag corps twirl rifles, flags and swords in colorful and exciting shows.

Admission to the event is only $5 for everyone over 5 years old and parking is $2. All proceeds benefit the King High School music program.

King High School is located at 6815 North 56th St., Tampa.

In addition to the live performances there will be concessions and vendors.
